Finally. A long while ago I posted about translating questions into Dutch.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Yesterday we finally went to visit the DS. The same one in the ad from MARCH. Which means I can probably purchase a running Citroen DS for under €2500.
It seems to be a strong runner and would be a roadworthy-driver with about a weekend’s worth of work. Beyond that it needs an entire respray, doors re-hung, and some love to the interior carpet, but it all works. I’m having a local gear-head go back with me to look at it to see if there is anything I missed. There is some rust, but it’s all surface/easily taken care of. The chassis is solid. The car raises/lowers OK with the hydraulics. My wife is encouraging me, too.

It’s not a Pallas or DS21/23 car; per the paperwork the engine is 1985cc and it’s clearly not injected. You can see the four-on-the-floor and they’re all rubber pedals (no “mushroom” brake) but I think there is power steering on it. The headlights swivel like they are supposed to. I don’t know what model DS that makes it. I think it would be an ID20 at that point.

Still, I’ve wanted a Goddess for quite a while. I have a plan for one. Then again, I have a plan for a lot of cars.

The seller also has a ‘63 or ‘61 that has a good body but needs an engine.

Any idea what they’d want? I don’t need the engine...
(this is implying that I have any money at all, which is a lie.)

The car is in northern Belgium, near the Dutch border.
These are the other cars the seller has:

The Black ‘61 is cherry. The white ‘63 has a good body but they told me the engine was kaput.
There are some other parts cars within an hour of me, too....

Or start with this:

There are no photos of this one, but they say it has corrosion, BUT it is also a Pallas so that means all options.

Tempting tempting...If only I didn’t have projects in front of my DS hot rod. Another time. Thanks for the info though, if something comes up and I can pick one up, it’s always good to know.

No problem. Oppo exists for us to egg each other on with bad automotive ideas :D — where are you located?
